Many years ago a man named John Alden Knight researched when fish and other animals are most inclined to move and feed, and found they become active according to the relative positions of the sun and moon — times he named “Solunar Times”.
Proven over many years overseas, we compute and print these times in New Zealand for Kiwis.
Save precious time by knowing when to go fishing or hunting — or better yet when to photographically “shoot” animals. These times actually apply to all biological life. People use them to predict the movement and feeding patterns of everything from insects to fish to livestock.
As far as fishing goes, a 1973 study by the Taupō Flyfishers Club found that fishing by the Solunar Times could result in catching the same amount of fish but fishing only half the time. Save precious time! Arrive at the right time for the action.
